This little painting began with the feeling of sunlight spilling into a quiet corner of the day.

I imagined her sitting with her knees drawn up, wrapped in a soft white sweater, a mug resting in her hand.

She looks over her shoulder, not at us, but into the abstract world around her, shapes and colours unfolding like a garden of thought.

The background is layered in white, yellow, blues, and purples, with black marks that ground the softness, and golden glitter that catches the light like petals or sunbeams.

For me, it’s less about a literal garden and more about the way warmth and brightness can bloom inside us, even in abstract spaces.

It’s a painting about pausing, sipping, and letting yourself be carried into that inner garden where light and imagination meet.
